China hits another record with the logest bridge over water

On Thursday, June 30, the work on the longest bridge over water is finished and it is time to be opened.


The work on it has started  in March 2007, at a cost of $ 2.3 billion. 
China opened the longest sea bridge in the world, connecting the city of Qingdao and the city in the Gulf of Jiaozho Huangdao in Shandong province in eastern Iran.  The bridge has a length of 36.48 km and consists of 8 lines.


It is expected that the bridge will  cut to half the time between the cities of Qingdao and Hoangdo i..e. reducing the time from 40 minutes to 20 minutes.


The bridge is expected to carry 30,000 cars a day.
